WSRU DJ’s the Freshman Dance

The word is out and it is becoming a trend on campus… WSRU is DJing another dance! This time it is for the annual freshman dance sponsored by the Resident Assistants.  It seems people are getting the memo that when it comes to spinning tracks, WSRU has the talent and the gear to make campus events ROCK!  Keep an eye out for other events in the future where WSRU is providing sound and entertainment and remember, you can always tune in to hear those great DJs here during their regularly scheduled programming times which are posted to the right! (PS – If you can’t make the dance, the event will be streamed live right here, so you can still rock out to all the great music and see your friends dancing away.)

New Format

As you have probably noticed, wsruradio.net has been reformatted for easier access and move convenient use.  To access the live stream, simply click on the image in the column to the right.  A new tab or window will open with only the stream video inside it.  This way you will be able to continue browsing the wsru site and move on to other websites while continuing to listen to and watch the broadcast.  We hope you enjoy the new layout and welcome any comments or suggestions you may have.

Open Mic Success!

Wednesday night saw the first Salve Open Mic of the spring semester held in the Wakehurst Fireplace lounge and WSRU was on hand to record all of the talented poets and musicians.  We will be uploading the video soon, so keep checking in for updates!  Sponsored by the English Guild, the event was a wonderful success and future open mics will be live simulcast right here on wsruradio.net alongside the normal scheduled in-studio shows.  Thanks to all who made it a successful evening!
